Holidays in Olu Deniz

Oludeniz is a resort densely covered with small contemporary hotels, bars and restaurants, all of which are set behind a broad arc of white sandy beach and bounded by pine covered mountains. A well maintained promenade, with neatly lawned gardens, runs all along the length of the bay and is lined by shops, bars and restaurants. Most of the lodging is situated further back. The region is famous for its wildlife including the loggerhead turtle, which now finds its mating habits disturbed by bright lights and disco music on the resort. Hence there have been some sensible strict controls that have come into force here. The resort can be easily be reached on foot with many paved roads and ‘partly pedestrian’ streets. Transfer time from Dalaman airport by taxi is around 70 minutes.

When to go

The main resorts throughout western Turkey are open from April till the end of October. Temperatures average in the mid 20's Celsius during the early and late months of the season but can rise to the low 30's during the summer peak season.

Oludeniz really does seem to have something special, many that visit the area once do so again and again. There are few places in the world where you can choose to be as lazy or as active as here. You can opt to lie around the pool, lay on the beach or enjoy one of the many restaurants, beach bars and shops in the resort or you can go on a real adventure and try diving, micro-lighting or paragliding if you so wished.
